Old 83, Airplanes, Cine El Rey and Palm Trees. It all points towards the south side of Mcallen. Growing up in Mcallen at a time when there was not much to do, besides enjoying what outside had to offer.Although we had no luxuries having Cine El Rey, The airplanes flying over us while playing outside.It all almost feels as if it were yesterday. Being able to still see bits and pieces of old McAllen keeps the real roots alive. - Oscar Rodriguez
ABOUT THIS ARTIST
I fell in love with art at a very young age. As a child, drawing was a way To express myself and connect with others around me. Although I did not pursue a full time career in art, I have always been able to find creativity and apply my love for art in everything I do. Im grateful for the opportunity to showcase what I love to do.
