Old 83 ,airplanes,Rex cafe breakfast and palm trees. A great feel of the south side of Mcallen.Simplicity at its finest, but never did we need more than the out doors. Palm trees, birds airplanes. All qualities of a humble, peaceful and happy community. Enjoyment was simple and effective, before the City Of McAllen started breaking ground for the big franchise names. Watching the airplanes and hearing the loud breaking winds from the turbines out into the ambient air was our plane ticket. Watching our city grow has been a bittersweet moment. Although we all welcome the best attractions to our city, I feel it is also very important to hold on to some real roots like these - Oscar Rodriguez
ABOUT THIS ARTIST
I fell in love with art at a very young age. As a child, drawing was a way To express myself and connect with others around me. Although I did not pursue a full time career in art, I have always been able to find creativity and apply my love for art in everything I do. Im grateful for the opportunity to showcase what I love to do.
