ABOUT THIS PIECE

Imagine a warm evening—the sun dipping below the horizon, leaving behind a canvas of twilight hues. The air buzzes with anticipation as kids gather in the backyard, armed with mason jars and wide-eyed wonder. Their mission? To catch fireflies—those elusive, glowing specks of magic.

This pair of murals depict children mesmerized by the fantastic twinkle of the summer night fireflies that fill the dark fields of South Texas. - Oneida Trevino
