ABOUT THIS ARTIST

Annel was born in the state of Veracruz in Mexico but now resides in McAllen with her husband and 3 children. She has always been passionate about art but in 2015, she decided to learn how to paint and become an artist.

In 2019, she felt ready to show her art and started participating in events like La Fiesta de las Palmas in McAllen, Jewish Charity Organization Hadasa, Children's Advocacy Center of Hidalgo and Starr Counties. For her its a wonderful way to help others while she does what she loves.

By the end of 2020, her work was accepted to be displayed at the Laguna Madre Art Gallery in Port Isabel TX.

Annel works with oils, acrylic, watercolors, gouache, and sometimes inks and pastels. Her favorite style is realism and likes to practice figurative and abstract style. She loves to paint portraits, still life, and animals while she expands to other things like architecture and landscape art.

The desire of her heart is to transmit to people the joy of the happy paintings and feel the tranquility of her art. "I will always be grateful to God, family, and friends for the privilege to do what I love, and for all their support."
