Nuestros Antepasados is an ode to our ancestors. It was created as recognition of those who came before us and paved the way for our current existence. The young girl represents the varying Native Peoples that inhabited Ancient Mexico from the Mayans, Aztecs, Olmecs,Teotihuacan, and Toltec to the Huastecans and Coahuiltecans of the RGV. The jaguar represents the fierce and powerful feline that coexisted with these ancient cultures and continues to coexist in the jungles of Mexico today. -
