I love where I come from, the Valley is a beautiful place with unique plants and fruit native to the land! I also love my Latin features, growing up I didn’t see many women like me in media so when portraying Latina women, I’m inspired by our people! Thick eyebrows, beautiful moles, tan skin, celebrating our traits and sharing them with the world. That’s why, through this pipe, it was meant to give praise to our land and people! - Yvette Olvera
ABOUT THIS ARTIST
Yvette was born and raised in Edinburg, Texas. A self taught artist, enjoying all kinds of art forms, from painting to graphic design. Created their own art business called EviieeArts in 2020, and fulfilling their dream of being an artist!
Graduated from UTRGV spring 2023 with a bachelors degree in psychology in hopes to help others relieve their stresses and anxieties through art.
