"Summer Afternoon" was inspired by my own home. And how Mexican culture decorates some houses here in McAllen. The Artisanal pots and decorations on the walls ,along with the big leafy plants bring a sense of warmth and comfort on a beautiful summer afternoon. It felt like a nice image to remind people of home as they pass the pipe on their daily walk, or on their cars during errands. -
